CURATED BY AUGUSTAH: JUNE EDIT

Unfiltered with Augustah Ep. 01

There are some months that ask you to trust yourself.

And then there are months that ask you to meet yourself.

June was the latter.

When I boarded my flight to Milan, I thought I knew exactly what this month would be about: modeling, Fashion Week, networking, creating content, and checking off the goals I'd spent months working toward. What I didn't realize was that June had very little interest in my plans. Instead, it introduced me to a version of myself I hadn't met before. A version that could navigate uncertainty. A version that could hear "no" without questioning her worth. A version that could find beauty in ordinary moments just as much as extraordinary ones.

For years, Europe has been one of the few places where I feel completely seen. As a six-foot model, I've often stood out. But here, I simply fit. Every time I return, I'm reminded why I fell in love with this industry in the first place, not because of the glamour, but because of the possibility. June held so many of the moments I'd imagined long before they became reality. Walking into castings. attending Fashion Week shows and presentations. Watching designers bring their collections to life. Meeting creatives from around the world who all carried the same quiet hope, that maybe they're one opportunity away from changing their lives.

Some opportunities worked out.

Others didn't. Some castings ended with excitement.

Others ended with silence.

Some meetings became possibilities.

Others became lessons.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that was never the point. For so long, I believed confidence came after success. This month taught me the opposite. Confidence is what allows you to keep showing up long before success ever arrives.

Unfiltered with Augustah Ep. 04

One of my favorite memories wasn't even about me. A friend came with me to my agency simply because she wanted to take a chance on herself. By the end of the meeting, she had signed with them. Watching that unfold reminded me that sometimes believing in yourself doesn't just change your own life. It creates space for someone else's dream, too. Life has a beautiful way of working like that.

Outside of modeling, Italy continued to surprise me. Long afternoons wandering through Brera. Vintage shops I'd planned to find. An Aperol Spritz after an afternoon of shopping. Train rides with friends that somehow became just as memorable as the places they led. Beach days and brand trips that reminded me productivity isn't the only measure of a life well lived. And moments when I stopped reaching for my camera because I wanted to experience them before sharing them through Unfiltered with Augustah. Ironically, those became the moments I remember most.

Living abroad also reminded me that beautiful experiences rarely come without sacrifice. Every purchase made me pause. Every train ticket became part of a budget. Every decision required intention. Instead of asking, Can I afford everything? I started asking, What memories are worth investing in? That simple shift changed how I experienced this month.

Somewhere between the castings, the train rides, and the conversations, Unfiltered with Augustah quietly became something bigger than I expected. I used to think I was documenting my life. Now I realize I'm documenting becoming.

Not because I have everything figured out. But because I don't. I'm preserving the version of myself who's willing to keep creating before she has all the answers. Who's willing to chase uncertainty anyway. Who's willing to believe the story is worth telling while she's still living it.

Looking back, June wasn't defined by one casting, one event, or one accomplishment. It was defined by movement. Movement toward the life I've been praying for. Movement toward the woman I'm becoming. Movement toward trusting that every experience, even the disappointing ones, is shaping me into someone stronger. Tomorrow I'll probably board another train. I'll probably stop for an Aperol Spritz somewhere I didn't plan. I'll probably discover another street that makes me pause. And maybe that's what June gave me.

Not certainty.

Not perfection.

Just enough courage to keep saying yes.

To new cities.

To new opportunities.

To new versions of myself.

And for now, I think that's enough.

So, in true Curated by Augustah fashion, here is everything I’ve been wearing, using, loving, and reaching for throughout the month of June in Italy.
