Unfiltered with Augustah | Episode 12 — Keep Showing Up
It’s been a little over two months since I last sat down to write, and honestly, where do I even begin?
The last time we caught up, I was talking about creating my own opportunities instead of waiting for someone else to decide where I belong. Fast-forward to October, and life has been LIFE-ING. Between Fashion Week, international travel, editorial shoots, brand collaborations, new friendships, and personal challenges, these past few months have been a beautiful mix of highs, lows, and everything in between.
Let’s catch up.
Unfiltered with Augustah | Episode 13 — Milan Fashion Week
SEPT. FASHION MONTH WAS A MOVIE
September took me from New York to Milan, with a little time in Minnesota and an unexpected Texas layover along the way. From walking during NYFW to attending Milan Fashion Week, being dressed by designers, experiencing incredible collections, and connecting with creatives, I found myself in rooms I once dreamed of entering. And baby, the fashion was fashioning! Beyond the shows, I continued building relationships with brands through collaborations, content creation and more unforgettable experiences. From working with Meta to being dressed by DSquared2, Florania, Alice You, Hui Milano, Barbara Rizzi, Art259design and attending events with Prada, Sirivannavari and KIKO x Vogue, plus beautiful moments with The Bridge, and Onitsuka Tiger. And somewhere between all of that, I was still creating content, collaborating with brands, and building relationships. A reminder that my career doesn’t have to fit into one box. Modeling, storytelling, and creating my own opportunities can all coexist. And baby, I love that for me.
Of course, it wasn’t all glamorous. There were sleepless nights, unexpected challenges, and even a Lime bike accident that left me with a ripped dress and a few bruises just minutes before the show. Thank God for the cape. Superwoman had entered the chat. But beyond the beautiful clothes, what made Fashion Month special were the people. The designers, makeup artists, photographers, and friendships that reminded me how powerful genuine connections can be.
The dress in question.
PASSPORT STAMPS & EDITORIAL DREAMS
After Fashion Week, I traded the runway rush for the beaches of Ibiza & Formentera where I worked, enjoyed the ocean, incredible paella, and a much-needed moment to appreciate how far this journey has taken me. Then it was back to Milan for editorial shoots in Carimate and Scalo Romana. Statement looks, talented teams, unexpected locations, and plenty of creative magic. Somewhere between posing in the streets of Milan and running on practically no sleep, I was reminded why I love modeling. It’s not just about the final photograph. It’s about the process, the people, and the stories we create together.

Milan came with accessories.
International model behavior. You better work, bitch
Now, here’s the part Instagram doesn’t always show.
While I’ve been experiencing some beautiful professional moments, life behind the scenes has been challenging.
Family circumstances, financial responsibilities, career uncertainty, and the pressure of constantly figuring out what’s next have reminded me that success and struggle can exist simultaneously. One day I’m dressed for a fashion show. Another day I’m crying over circumstances beyond my control. And the next, I’m picking up additional work to handle my responsibilities.
All of it is my reality.
I’m still navigating an industry that doesn’t always know where to place me. Still pursuing representation, still hearing no sometimes, and still finding ways to create opportunities for myself.
But I’m learning something important:
I don’t need every door to open to recognize that I’m moving forward. And I don’t have to share every personal battle to acknowledge that some seasons are harder than others.
I’M LEARNING TO SLOW DOWN
Recently, I escaped the city for Camp Fuze, a wellness retreat produced by Fuze House alongside 25 inspiring women. It is their first brand trip ever. Fresh air, movement, good food, new connections, and a chance to disconnect and simply be present. Something I didn’t realize how much I needed. I’ve spent so much time chasing what’s next that sometimes I forget to appreciate what’s already happening.
Rest isn’t falling behind. Sometimes it’s exactly what allows you to keep going.
I’M STILL BECOMING.
Meanwhile, Unfiltered with Augustah has reached Episode 14! Which you may have watched, you’re caught up. From travel chaos, Fashion and beauty appointments to runways, editorials, friends and everything in between, documenting these experiences has reminded me how much I love storytelling. The blog lets me process it. Unfiltered lets you live it with me. And if these past few months have taught me anything, it’s that becoming isn’t always pretty, predictable, or perfectly timed. Sometimes you’re celebrating.
Sometimes you’re struggling.
Sometimes you’re doing both.
So here’s your reminder:
Keep showing up. Keep creating. Give yourself grace. And don’t wait until everything is perfect to appreciate how far you’ve come.
As for me? Still dreaming. Still working. Still trusting GOD. Still becoming.
BACK TO MY CLOSET
And now, back to one of my favorite forms of self-expression: fashion. After weeks of living out of suitcases, coming home to New York meant finally being reunited with my entire closet. And baby, I missed her! Between Fashion Week, editorial shoots, and discovering new designers, I’ve been feeling more inspired to experiment with my personal style. Lately, I’m loving statement pieces, rewearing old finds, interesting silhouettes, and those little details that make an outfit feel like me. Of course, I’ve also been keeping track of my favorite beauty finds, everyday essentials, and a few things currently on my wishlist.
